1. What is a White Card?
A White Card is the official construction induction card required before you can work on any construction site in Victoria (and recognised across Australia). It proves you’ve completed construction induction training, which teaches the basic principles of workplace health and safety for construction work.
2. What is construction induction training?
Construction induction training is a face‑to‑face course delivered by an approved Registered Training Organisation. It is designed to help you understand the fundamental safety rules, hazard awareness, risk control, communication, and incident response required on construction sites.
3. Is the course face‑to‑face or online?
In Victoria, construction induction training must be delivered in person (face‑to‑face). Online courses are not accepted and will not lead to a valid White Card issued by WorkSafe Victoria.
4. How do I receive my White Card?
After successful completion:
Expect to receive the plastic White Card in the mail within ~60 days after training.
