Forklift Operator Resume

This is the first article in our ‘career viewpoint series’ for forklift licence Melbourne. In our first article we are going to cover the forklift licence  holder resume preparation. So what should you include in your resume as a forklift operator? Yes, the basics are the same regardless of industry – experience, forklift training details and past jobs details. However, most importantly, you should point out your experience and the training in detail because when it comes to forklifts, there are many variables to consider.

For example, Forklift operator’s duty involves transferring heavy loads in warehouses, storage locations, factories, construction sites and most other industrial sites. Forklift operator may work indoor, outdoors or both and can be responsible for driving electric or gas forklifts and, again, in some cases both. The forklift truck attachments use may very depending on the type of load and job requirement.

Forklift operator may also be responsible for other duties such as loading the forklift, conform that the material is placed in the proper storage that will be easy to make records and keep the records of materials that are transferred.

Forklift operator may also be working on other tasks to operate other equipment on the work site. It is important that you point out all these details in resume. Your prospective employer will be considering these details so, in my opinion, more details you provide is better
