Traffic Controller (Stop/Slow Bat) Course

The RIIWHS205D - Control Traffic with Stop/Slow Bat course is designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and qualifications required to control traffic on a worksite using a stop/slow bat.. The course will enable participants to apply a systematic approach to their work with training in planning, equipment check, set up and pack up of traffic signs and barriers and working knowledge of the OH&S and regulatory requirements.

As with all other courses offered by Go Workplace Training, this course is designed with your time, safety and convenience in mind. The course can be completed in 1 day / 6 hours. 

Also, you are not required to bring any equipment or material, as Go Workplace Training will provide you with all the equipment and materials required.

Material Required

All material is supplied including trainees guide, workbook, resource materials, assessment paperwork and administrative documentation.


Basic verbal and written English communication skills sufficient to read material and understand instruction.

Course Description

Participants will be able to plan their work and check the equipment, set up and pack up traffic signs and barriers as well as being able to apply a working knowledge of the OH&S and regulatory requirements relevnat to the role of a traffic controller.


Upon Successful completion of this course, participants receive a statement of attainment.
