Shift Materials Safely Using Manual Handling Methods

This course is useful for any workplace team member who require to manually handle materials which includes push, pull, carry or restrain any object. Poor or incorrect manual handling techniques can cause serious injuries. In fact, poor material handling is one of the most common causes of injury in workplaces. This manual handling course will allow you to adopt proper manual handling practices that help increase efficiency and reduce the risk of injuries.

This course is specifically designed for operators who require to use manual material handling methods. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to plan their work and apply a working knowledge of the OH&S and regulatory requirements

At our venues in Willamstown, Hallam and Campbellfield in Victoria.

Burswood in Western Australia

and onsite in any State or territory of Australia

 

Participants:

 

maximum of 20 students per trainer

 

Duration:

 

1 x 8 hour day

 

Equipment required:

 

All training equipment is provided by Go Workplace Training

 

Dress Requirments:

 

As per site requirements

 

Prerequisites:

 

Basic verbal and written English communication skills sufficient to read material and understand instructions. Participants are required to have general good health and fitness and any pre-existing medical conditions that will affect the training must be disclosed prior to attending.

 

Course Description:

 

Participants will be able to plan their work and apply a working knowledge of the OH&S and regulatory requirements. 

 

Outcome:

 

Upon Successful completion of this course, participants receive a Certificate of Participation.
